A very special tasting opportunity on 16th October!

We've just organised a brilliant event in conjunction with our good friends at Somerset Cider Distillery along with Mike Burks from Castle Gardens in Sherborne.  The date to put in your diary is Saturday 16th October when the first bottles of 20 year old Somerset Cider Brandy arrive to a fruity welcome at Vineyards!

There will be a 'pop-up' orchard outside the front of Vineyards to herald the arrival of the very first bottles of 20 year old Somerset Cider Brandy - distilled at the Somerset Distillery from ancient apple varieties grown in the famous orchards of Kingsbury Episcopi and matured in their bond in the village.   There's only going to be 1000 bottles of this made this year, so it's a really unique opportunity to put something special by for Christmas (unless you can't wait to drink it of course!)

From 12 noon on 16th October the 20 year old Somerset Cider Brandy will be available to taste alongside a whole range of apple-inspired products including traditional cider, apple juices and chocolate truffles.  For more information see all the details on our NEWS & EVENTS page - and we hope to see you there!

An incredible result from the Wine Fair!

An amazing result from our Charity Wine Fair on 21st July! £5213.88 for Help for Heroes, so a huge thanks EVERYONE.  See the Wine Fair section of our website for more information, downloads and pictures.

A fabulous success, thank you!

Just a little word to say how thrilled we were with the success of our 6th Charity Wine Fair on 21st July.  We're still counting the pennies but it looks like a record amount has been raised to be donated to HELP FOR HEROES. More than 550 people attended on a windy but warm night (which was much better than the rain forecast!), so thank you everyone for coming along and supporting the event.  Visit our new site soon for news about the final figure raised and to see our event gallery (you might be on it!).  Best wishes, Hannah, Shelley and Seamus.

Wine Fair preparations are all coming together!

After months of preparation, we can finally see everything coming together for our 6th Annual Charity Wine Fair, that's taking place on 21st July.  Getting everything in place is quite a challenge each year.  From securing the date and venue, to getting sponsorship for some of the overheads, to inviting suppliers and others to take part... it's all a lot of work and a bit of a worry until everything's signed up, but it looks like we're there!

Once again, we're really grateful to HSBC and to our other key supporters whose help means we know we can afford to pay for the venue and marquees.  So many people give their time, expertise and products for free on the night in order that we can really do the best for our chosen charity - which this year is HELP FOR HEROES.
